Postnatal Care & Recovery After Delivery in Indirapuram
The six weeks after birth — the postnatal period — bring physical healing, hormonal shifts, breastfeeding and very little sleep. A structured postnatal review helps you recover well, catches problems such as infection, anaemia or low mood early, and answers the dozens of small questions that come up in the first weeks with a newborn.
Overview
Whether you had a normal delivery or a caesarean, Dr. Rathore reviews you before discharge and again at around 1–2 weeks and 6 weeks after birth. The review covers healing of stitches or the caesarean wound, bleeding pattern, blood pressure and sugars if these were raised in pregnancy, breastfeeding, mood, and a plan for contraception and return to exercise.

Postnatal Care with Dr. Bhavya Rathore
Why patients in Indirapuram consult Dr. Rathore for postnatal care
Postnatal care is a continuation of the relationship built through pregnancy. Dr. Rathore and the Cloudnine team review you in hospital, and she remains available at the clinic for follow-up questions once you are home.
Postnatal follow-ups are available at the Gyan Khand 4 clinic, Indirapuram — convenient for new mothers who would rather not travel far with a newborn.
Frequently asked questions
When can I start exercising after delivery?
Gentle walking and pelvic-floor exercises can begin within days for most women. More strenuous exercise is usually deferred until the 6-week review, longer after a caesarean.
When do periods return after childbirth?
If you are exclusively breastfeeding, periods may not return for several months. If you are not breastfeeding, they usually return within 6–10 weeks. Ovulation can happen before the first period, so contraception matters.
Is it normal to feel low after delivery?
Mild 'baby blues' in the first two weeks are common. Persistent low mood, anxiety or loss of interest beyond that deserves a conversation with your doctor — it is treatable.
